Catholics Weddings Civil Weddings Wedding Blessing Same sex Weddings Civil weddings in Spain are very complicated as they require that you are resident in this country. If you are resident in Spain, the documents that you need for a civil wedding are as follows:
2. Certificate of Residence or Electoral Roll Certificate ("Empadronamiento")
3. Passport
4. Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage, this may be obtained from your local registry office or consulate.
5. If applicable, an original marriage and divorce certificate must be presented and accompanied by a sworn translation.
6. If either party is widowed, then both the original marriage certificate and death certificate must be presented together with sworn translations.
